Yarrow infused almond oil.
We are so lucky on our farm to have yarrow growing throughout the fields, along the hedgerows. It is abundant and the heady sweet smell lingers in the air on warm days.
Yarrow is one of the most useful 'cure-all' wild herbs found where we live. Many herbalists have it in their first aid kit as it is so versatile.
Dried yarrow can be used as a tea to reduce fevers and induce sweating. It is a known circulatory system remedy that stops bleeding and moves stagnant blood, preventing and clearing blood clots. It can even lower blood pressure.
I use yarrow externally for tired and over-used muscles, chronic muscle pain, cramps and period pain. It is a wonderful infused oil to use for massage and is used to dilate capillaries, regulate hypertension, regulate menstrual cramps, and soothe tired muscles.
It has many medicinal qualities including regulating blood flow, it is antiseptic and supports digestive health, and is used for female reproductive health, as well as for headaches and fevers.
The herb is anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic.
Yarrow is not suitable for people who are pregnant or trying to conceive as it has a strong effect on uterine contractions.
