My most popular herbal balm.
I have a small number of last summer's balm, everything in this sleepy concoction is collected from our farm at midsummer.
I have infused yarrow, mugwort and rosemary in an almond oil base to create a snoozy dreamy sleep balm.
The lavender essential oil will support your body's natural wind down at the end of the day. Available in 15ml tins.
Mugwort is a special plant that grows on the waysides and helps us with our journeys. It is Artemesia, related to wormwood, and it is used for protection and believed to help individuals with psychic powers to access them. it is associated with dreaming, and is said to support lucid dreaming. A pillow full of silvery leaved mugwort is said to ward off nightmares, and it was worn to protect people from evil. We cannot guarantee that this balm will save you from evil but it will help you to find some calm and dreamy quality before you sleep.
Yarrow, the warrior herb, is a strong and sweet-smelling herb found all over our farm in the summer, and its feathery leaves are already appearing in the grasses. It has many medicinal qualities including regulating blood flow, is antiseptic and supports digestive health, and is used for female reproductive health, as well as for headaches and fevers.
Both mugwort and yarrow are not suitable for people who are pregnant or trying to conceive but are superb for period pain-relief, and regulating blood flow. Witch's balm is not suitable for people allergic to aspirin.
